Personalize this space to better suit your lifestyle

Many might see their bedroom as the place where they sleep and store their clothes, personal items, and some furniture. But, to me, it is way more than that. It is my comfort zone, where I can rest and recover to face my everyday challenges. Thus, I take good care of it.

You can infer many things from a person by looking around their bedroom. We keep objects that we like or that are meaningful to us. Objects that come to mind are; framed pictures of family members and loved ones, tools, or papers that are directly related to their careers. In case someone keeps these in their bedroom. I can tell that they care about their loved ones and are prideful about their job.

But, making assumptions from someone only by glancing at their bedroom is not fair. We are complex beings. To better understand each other, we have to invest time together.

Your bedroom can influence your mod. Imagine you just wake up to find yourself surrounded by a huge mess. Shoes are surrounding and under your bed, at one corner a pile of dirty clothes, and your desk has a mountain of various papers and documents almost completely covering it. How would you feel? In my case, I would take a deep breath and think, “Great, another thing to worry about!”. You might feel annoyed.

So, to prevent this from happening, I clean my room regularly. It not only helps me have a better start every morning. I know exactly where everything is at. Also, I am not putting my health at risk by letting the dust settle everywhere.

Imagine the following scenario; You had a hard day at work or school and just got home. What would you do? Most likely, you want to find a way to relax and recover. Maybe, you drop dead on your bed. Perhaps you’d rather play video games or watch tv to distract your mind. Life is rough, and everyone deserves a little break.

Your bedroom is a space that holds a lot of potential and utility. Whatever you decide to do with it. Think of ways to benefit from it. Just don’t overwork yourself, and remember to get enough sleep.
